Txoko

Txoko (pronounced “choco”) is the Basque concept of a gastronomical society where people gather to cook together, eat, drink and socialize. Working from this vision, co-owners Ryan Maxey and Chef Ian Begg created a gastro bar in San Francisco where locals and visitors enjoy delicious food and drinks in a casual, unpretentious environment.

Their menu is inspired by Basque cuisine, with both its Spanish and French elements. Their pintxos are perfect for a quick bite, and compliment a spectacular selection of beer and wine, and a cocktail list that stands up to the best mixology spots in the city. In addition, their small plates, big plates and select desserts provide the opportunity to enjoy the full dining experience.

Txoko is housed in the old San Francisco landmark, Enrico's in North Beach – a neighborhood with a great Basque history. For decades, Enrico's was the place where the community would gather to eat, drink, and enjoy good company – and Txoko is proudly continuing this tradition. Salud!
